Portugal. The Man - "American Ghetto". This helped me on the train and bus rides to and from work last year - through thick and thin etc...!

Arcade Fire - "The Suburbs". Most peoples' album of the year. I know "Neon Bible" was one of mine when it was released a few years back. Welcome back Arcade Fire I guess.

She & Him - "Volume Two".

Vampire Weekend - "Contra". To many people, Vampire Weekend's self-titled marked a new favourite album with brilliant songs all around. (I still say "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" is one of my all-time favourite songs.) Somehow they managed to bring a slate of songs just as good on "Contra", which was a difficult task to begin with, let's face it.
